By giving each month, you become a steady source of hope and healing, making a difference in young lives all year round.
Memorial Donations
When words can’t say enough… A memorial donation is a special way to recognize the life of a loved one, friend or colleague. When you make a donation in lieu of a gift, a uniquely designed card will be sent on your behalf indicating that you have honoured the life of a loved one by making a donation to the Foundation.
Tribute Donations
Pay tribute or honour an individual on a special occasion. Celebrate a birthday, holiday, graduation, anniversary or a special friend or relative with a tribute donation to Algoma Family Services Foundation. Your donation will lend additional meaning to the occasion and the person you are honouring will appreciate your thoughtfulness. When you make a tribute donation in lieu of a gift a card will be sent on your behalf.
Leave a Legacy
A gift in a will is a meaningful way to make a lasting commitment to Algoma’s children and youth. A bequest to the Foundation can be as simple as a sentence or two in your will, or a codicil attached to your present will. You may bequeath to the Foundation a specific sum of money, a particular asset or a portion of your estate.
A gift of life insurance can provide a significant future gift to the Foundation.
Fundraise in Leiu of Gifts
Hosting a birthday party, planning your wedding, or putting together a special event? Ask your guests to make a donation to AFS through our online donation portal, or collect cash and cheque payments in lieu of gifts to help support programs at Algoma Family Services. Cash and cheques can be dropped off at our office location.
Host an Event
From a lemonade stand to a corporate golf tournament, run your event your way, and inspire people to get involved by donating proceeds to the Algoma Family Services Foundation! No event is too big or too small, and our staff is here to help you spread the word and provide helpful information such as tax receipting guidelines.
Product Sales
Whether you are a restaurant, shop or local vendors, you can make a difference in children’s mental health through allocating a percentage or dollar amount from the sale of a product towards the Algoma Family Services Foundation. Run a limited time promotion and let us help you get the word out to drive sales to your location!
Point of Sale Campaign
